Turning Sh*t Into Gold (Or at Least Compost)

Card of the Day: "I am a badass magician turning sh*t into gold."

Okay, real talk... these affirmation cards can be a little much. Like, maybe your super enthusiastic friend who’s had too many oat milk lattes. But if you can’t laugh at that, you’re probably too serious... and honestly, who needs that energy?

That said, this one hits home. It’s about taking whatever life throws at you - whether it’s awesome, messy, or downright frustrating - and turning it into something useful, meaningful, or even golden.

Back in April, I sprained my wrist boxing. Yep, that happened. For someone who thrives on workouts to keep both body and mind in balance, this was a huge challenge. Suddenly, I couldn’t do my routine. I felt frustrated, stuck, and honestly, a little lost.

But here’s the real magic: that injury forced me to rest. To listen to my body instead of bulldozing through the pain. To slow down instead of speeding up.

Turns out, sometimes the gold isn’t in pushing harder - it’s in letting yourself heal.

So What’s the Takeaway?

Life is messy and chaotic and sometimes feels like a dumpster fire. But that’s where the magic lives.

I’m far from perfect, a total work in progress. But I know this: I can take the raw, messy stuff and turn it into something better... something that shines, even if it’s just a little.

So yeah, maybe I am a badass magician. Not because I’m flawless, but because I’m stubborn enough to keep turning sh*t into gold - one messy, beautiful day at a time.

Catch you on the other side of the rainbow… where the gold really lays.

Since then, my journey (and even my name) have evolved, especially after marriage and branching into leadership and communications. While the original “me” who registered this domain has grown and changed, the core of who I am remains: a love for meaningful connections and creating work that truly matters.
